February Stall in the Spotlight: Thyme
This month’s stall in the spotlight: Thyme—heavenly home-cooking
Sip a steaming mug of soup as you wander our market stalls. Treat yourself to a fresh sausage roll or a slice of quiche for your Saturday lunch. Or take a hearty, homemade meal home to put in the fridge, so that when friends or family pop in out of the blue it’s always a welcome surprise. Rhona Everard and her company Thyme will be at our market for the first time in February. And she can’t wait to offer you fresh, seasonal food, cooked in her home kitchen just outside of Newbury.
A mum of two young children, Rhona set up Thyme in September 2014. The company specialises in what she calls ‘handover food’—homemade meals which she hands over to her clients to heat up for quick, easy suppers—and in catering for small to medium-sized dinner parties and celebrations. But at our market she’ll also have lots of lunchtime goodies to try on the spot or take home for later. And she’ll be advertising Thyme’s Valentine’s menu—a handover supper for a romantic evening with none of the shopping or cheffing.
Love cooking or loathe it, sometimes you can’t beat fresh, home-cooked fare that you haven’t had to slave over yourself. So why not come and meet Rhona and taste what she has to offer? In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more, search for ‘Thymehomecook’ on Facebook, email thymehomecook@gmail.com or give Rhona a call on 07796 946 664. She’s looking forward to meeting you.
